After their clear win against Heffingen this weekend, Racing has won a second straight game, this time against the leader Musel Pikes. Racing also ended the guests’ impressive 12-game-winning streak.
Travis led Racing with 28 points while Bernimont (12) and Mersch (10) scored in double digits as well and Laures grabbed 11 rebounds. The Pikes only shot 30 percent (21/70) from the field.
The win gives Racing some chances to climb in the standings on the last game-day, depending on the results from the other games on Wednesday.
This loss also gives Basket Esch the chance to regain the first place in the standings in the next two games. They need to win their game on Wednesday against Heffingen and then beat the Pikes on Saturday.

In the play-down, Sparta was able to stay unbeaten after a 104:82-win over Telstar. 6 Sparta-players scored 11 points or more while Koster (20) and Feipel (18) were the main scorers. Foster had 25 points for Hesperange.
Sparta is an excellent position to stay in the league while the loss should not have a major affect on Telstar’s chances to promote.
