After having celebrated an historic win in Albania, Luxembourg wanted to confirm the improvements that the team made and managed to win also its home game against the Albanian, that lost all their matches so far in this campaign of the European Championship Division B. The Team Lëtzebuerg managed this pressure and finally won the first European Championship game in front of its home-crowd (86:72). In the beginning Luxembourg dominated the game and got an early 20:13-lead after the first quarter. Albania fought back and could reduce the gap in the second quarter to two points, but then the girls of coach Hermann Paar increased the pace again and so the scoreboard showed 39:29 by halftime. In the third quarter Luxembourg was on fire and increased its advantage meanwhile even to 23 points. The last quarter started with the score of 63:46. Albania fought once again back but was not able to prevent its second loss against the team from the Grand-Duchy, that was lead by Nadia Mossong (15 points and 10 rebounds), Jill Bausch (19 points) and youngster Lena Hetto (23 points).
