Etzella’s head-coach Dragana Zoric has restarted practices with her team this week like all teams in the women`s Total League. Their season will start on February 13th. With only 4 weeks remaining before the restart of the season, coaches face a big challenge to measure how the players should practice in order to get in the best possible shape when the games resume.
The special situation is challenging for players and coaches. „I would say that it is the beginning of a new season » says Zoric and adds that the break has been too long to continue where the team stopped a few months ago. The challenge for the coaches is to prepare the team for the season`s restart in about 4 weeks. „The main focus is on conditioning, shooting and feeling the court again. We need to make sure that we bring the intensity step by step. » Over the last weeks and months, her players tried to stay active at home. „When the season was stopped, we talked about the importance to stay active so that my players did things on their own. »
